THE SCENT

OCEAN EYES

OCEAN EYES opens cold and luminous. Litchi, pear and black currant catch first, brightened by citrus peel and the cool spice of cardamom. The fruit feels translucent rather than sugary — wet, polished and almost pearlescent.

Then the tide moves through it. Mineral sea salt cuts across violet, jasmine and rose until the florals feel less like a bouquet and more like a waterlily opening over dark blue water. It is floral, but aqueous. Feminine, but never fragile.

Underneath, coconut milk and warm amber begin to soften the edges. They do not turn OCEAN EYES tropical or creamy-sweet; they create warmth beneath the cool surface, like the last pearl-gold light still caught on skin after leaving the water.

The drydown settles close: soft musk, darker musk, whipped vanilla, sandalwood and teakwood touched by lingering salt. What remains is smooth, warm and skinlike — the olfactive version of water evaporating slowly from your neck while violet perfume stays behind.

OCEAN EYES leans toward TIDE — sea minerals, sea salt, waterlily, violet, litchi and pear keep it cool, saline and translucent, while coconut milk, warm amber, sandalwood, teakwood, whipped vanilla and layered musk leave a soft skin-warm finish underneath. It never reads tropical or overtly solar; the pull is mineral water first, pearl-musk warmth second.

Every HOUSE OF JAS fragrance is hand-poured in small batches with one centered wood wick and a HOUSE OF JAS fragrance blend chosen for the candle's own point of view.

HOUSE POUR is the Signature Vessel expression of the fragrance. PETITE POUR is the smaller 3 FL OZ / 89 ML travel tin, made for sampling, gifting, travel, or keeping close.

Finish care, special handling, Signature Vessel details, dust-cover care, and refill eligibility below apply to HOUSE POUR.

Because each candle is poured and finished by hand, slight variation in wax appearance, surface texture, or vessel finish can happen from candle to candle. That's part of the process—not a flaw.

FINISH CARE: The iridescent finish should be handled gently. Once completely cool, wipe with a soft, non-abrasive cloth only. Avoid soaking, alcohol, solvents, harsh cleaners, scrubbing, and abrasive materials that may dull or damage the finish.
STORAGE: Store upright in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat, and temperature extremes.

HOW TO BURN — THE HOUSE RULES.

A beautiful burn starts before the flame. Keep the wood wick clean, give the wax enough time to melt evenly, and let the vessel cool completely before handling it again.

TRIM BEFORE EVERY BURN

Before relighting, remove loose charred wood from the wick so the flame stays controlled and clean. Keep the wick centered and free of debris.
LET THE FIRST BURN SET THE TONE

On the first burn, allow the melt pool to reach close to the vessel edges before extinguishing.
HOUSE POUR FIRST BURN: 3–3.5 HOURS
PETITE POUR FIRST BURN: 1.5–2 HOURS
BURN IT SOMEWHERE STEADY

Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, direct airflow, children, pets, and anything that can catch fire. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
EXTINGUISH GENTLY

Use a candle snuffer when possible. Let the flame go out completely and allow the wax and vessel to cool before touching, moving, covering, or cleaning.
KEEP THE WAX CLEAN

Do not leave wick trimmings, matches, or other debris in the wax.For HOUSE POUR, once completely cool, replace the HOUSE OF JAS dust cover.For PETITE POUR, replace the tin lid only after the candle is completely cool.
KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODNIGHT

Discontinue burning when approximately ½ inch of wax remains. Store the candle upright in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat, and temperature extremes.
